avid Arnold is currently the CEO of Wavetronix, which is a company that designs, manufactures and sells radar-based traffic detectors world-wide. He began life as an Idaho farm boy and became an electrical engineer through study at Ricks College, Brigham Young University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was a professor in the Electrical Engineering department at BYU for eight years before founding Wavetronix in 2000. Dr. Arnold is the father of four children (two of whom are currently students in the department).
