Prof. Michael Rice, Jim Abrams Professor, received the Distinguished Service Award from the Communications Theory Technical Committee of the IEEE Communications Society at IEEE Globecom 2013 in Atlanta. Prof. Rice served as chair of the Communications Theory Technical Committee during 2009 and 2010, vice-chair during 2007 and 2008, and secretary during 2005 and 2006.
