Faculty

Office: 460 EB

Jay Snell is a passionate fan-boy of Cybersecurity. From his earliest work experience helping people to install modems into their computers, to developing and implementing Network Security solutions for the highest organizations in the Department of Defense, to enabling college students in both Networks and Cybersecurity, he loves helping people to solve their technological problems in meaningful ways. He has overseen engineering and operations teams from San Diego to Saudi Arabia and from Omaha to the Horn of Africa, but he especially loves teaching and learning about all things Cyber. He is particularly interested in Networks, Security, Wireless, and how to better facilitate learning in these areas. With over 15 years in the public sector in various Cyber-related positions he brings a breadth of knowledge that prepares him to bring real-world examples and hard-learned lessons to enhance the education experience. Jay has served in the Navy Reserves for the last 12 years and has helped develop learning and training for sailors in various career fields but all with a focus on the Cyber domain.
