BYU Professor Daniel Smalley Receives Fulbright Award for Research in Japan
Daniel Smalley, Ph.D., a professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Brigham Young University, has been selected for a Fulbright Specialist Program award. As part of this opportunity, he will travel to the University of Tsukuba in Japan for a six-week project focused on advancing directional volumetric display technology.
Jackson Guthrie Receives Student Employee of the Year Award
Congratulations, Jackson Guthrie! Jackson won third place in this year's campus-wide Student Employee of the Year award for his contributions in the BYU EPICenter. The award recognizes outstanding student employee work, which Jackson has demonstrated through his exceptional leadership and establishing the EPICenter's electroplating process. His supervisors Enoch Boekweg and Tomoo Taguchi shared the news during a surprise celebration for Jackson this week.
Preparing for Service: Cybersecurity Students Take Learning Beyond Campus
In early January, recipients of the CyberCorps Scholarship for Service took part in a career focused tour of Space Dynamics Laboratory, Hill Air Force Base, and Idaho National Laboratory. As recipients of the CyberCorps Scholarship for Service, these students are preparing for careers in public sector cybersecurity, and this trip gave them a clear view of where their skills can make a national impact.
