Dr. Rice Explores Wireless Communications in New Textbook

With over 35 years of research and application in wireless communications, Dr. Michael Rice has made many contributions to his field, including his latest publication. His new textbook with Cambridge Scholars explores offset quadrature phase-shift keying (offset QPSK)—a process of encoding digital data into a radio wave.

Intended for graduate students, researchers, and industry professionals, the book shows how and why engineers use this technique to send digital data, reflecting Dr. Rice’s lifelong commitment to advancing the field and mentoring the next generation of engineers.

Congratulations, Dr. Rice—we’re proud to celebrate your continued contributions to wireless communications and to our department.
