The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering would like to congratulate Doctor Daniel Smalley on being granted CFS (Continuing Faculty Status) and his promotion to Associate Professor, and Doctor Brian Mazzeo on his promotion from Associate Professor to Professor.

Dr. Smalley joined the BYU faculty in August 2013 with an impressive academic background, as well as valuable experience in holography. Since then, Dr. Smalley has gone on to continue his research on integrated optics spatial light modulation electroholography volumetric display, and as an Associate Professor with CFS will continue to provide valuable research and projects.

Dr. Mazzeo has been at BYU since September 2008 and has brought with him an impressive history of academic achievement. Since joining the faculty at BYU, Dr. Mazzeo has been involved in research of electromagnetic modeling with his more recent work being focused on non-destructive methods to quantify properties and assess the condition of materials used in reinforced concrete bridge decks.

The department looks forward to continuing work with both Dr. Mazzeo and Dr. Smalley in their respective promotions.
