Securing Cloud Databases
Faculty and students from across campus attended Dr. Ken Eguro's talk Securing Cloud Databases given as part of the Department Colloquium Series on 25 September 2014. Ken, who works at Microsoft Research, explained how current encryption requirements make moving data bases in the cloud a problem. Ken described a holistic approach that combines crypto algorithms, secure hardware, distributed computation, and systems engineering.
