Dr. Benjamin Schooley is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Brigham Young University. He holds a BA in English from Brigham Young University, an MBA, and a PhD in Information Systems and Technology from Claremont Graduate University. His expertise lies in the design and evaluation of digital health applications, leveraging biomedical informatics and design science. Dr. Schooley has over 15 years of experience in both industry and academia and has been instrumental in developing software systems for a range of health contexts. His work has been funded by prestigious organizations including the NSF, NIH, and the U.S. Social Security Administration, and his research has been published in top-tier outlets such as IEEE, ACM, and JAMIA. Prior to his appointment at BYU, Dr. Schooley was Assistant and then Associate Professor of Informatics, College of Engineering and Computing, University of South Carolina.
