Dr. Hansen received his Ph.D. in 2007 from the University of Michigan's iSchool. He then worked at the University of Maryland's iSchool until 2011 where he was a member of the Human Computer Interaction Lab (HCIL) and Director of the Center for the Advanced Study of Communities and Information (CASCI). He is a co-founder of LoomVue, a language learning startup.
