IMMERSE, an undergraduate research program that brings together students from BYU and abroad in the fields of Electrical and Computer Engineering, has completed another successful season here at BYU. Together, professors and students research topics in the Electrical and Computer Engineering domains. Research topics this summer ranged from Photonics and Microfabrication to Remote Sensing.

ECE Hosts Students from Japan

The Students of IMMERSE-X: A Unique Perspective

A Look into the Seven-Segment Sign that Can Run Doom

Christopher Kitras and Ashton Palacios, two BYU Electrical and Computer Engineering graduate students, designed and developed a seven-segment sign alongside Dinah Bronson and Dr. Phil Lundrigan that was recently featured at PyCon. The system can run video games such as Doom and classic arcade games and even display videos.

A Head Start: BYU’s STEM camp

Unleash your innovative side with this unique opportunity to learn! BYU’s STEM camp offers a unique hands-on experience to learning the basics of building and programming something from scratch. The program is one week long, and is for students entering 10th and 11th grade. The projects students will be working on range from biology to mechanical engineering to building robots. BYU Students bring home top prize at i-ETC Conference

Last week, Sharisse Poff and Daniel Tebbs, working with Dr. Chiang and Dr. Davis, were awarded first place in the Engineering track at the i-ETC conference for their paper titled "Pulsatile Impedance Monitoring Circuit.” Each year, the Intermountain Engineering, Technology, and Computing Conference (i-ETC) is held at a participating university, this year being at BYU. Sharisse and Daniel are both graduate students at BYU studying electrical engineering who share a passion for biomedical applications of engineering.
